SEA-EYE 4 saves 84 lives
The SEA-EYE 4 rescued 84 more people from distress at sea during its first mission of the year on Thursday. The so-called Libyan coastguard, which was acting aggressively, targeted SEA-EYE 4’s rescue boat with weapons.

SEA-EYE 4 crew rescues 106 people on Boxing Day
On the afternoon of Boxing Day (26th December 2023), the crew of the sea rescue ship SEA-EYE 4 rescued a total of 106 people from two different boats. Among those rescued are 40 minors.
Rescue ship SEA-EYE 4 detained in Vibo Valentia
The SEA-EYE 4 is again punished with an administrative detention of 20 days and a fine of around 3,000 euros. The Italian coastguard accused the crew of disobeying instructions from the so-called Libyan coastguard. According to an expert, the sanctions have no basis in international law.
48 survivors aboard the SEA-EYE 4 reach Vibo Valentia
On Sunday evening, all 48 survivors, including 32 men, 13 women, one child and two babies, were able to disembark from the SEA-EYE 4 in Vibo Valentia. The four bodies of the people who had not survived the dramatic rescue operation were handed over to the Italian authorities.
