The documentary “Route 4” describes the life-threatening journey people take upon themselves to reach Europe via Libya. The film crew of Boxfish Films accompanied Sea-Eye on 4 missions for more then 15 months. They acted as media team on the sea rescue ship ALAN KURDI and learned first-hand about the problems, adversities and difficulties of people embarking on this journey.
But the film goes far beyond the events in the Mediterranean and describes the dangerous routes that people have to take through various African countries. The result is a moving documentary that has won many awards.
We want to give you an insight into what is happening in the Mediterranean. Together with Humans before Borders we bring this documentary to Porto. Ana Paula Cruz, Porto based activist and humanitarian doctor will be available for Q&A after the film. You are cordially invited to attend.
