A donation is a special gift. It saves lives.
When people like you give the gift of a donation for sea rescue in the Mediterranean, we can set sail, rescue, and provide protection. We will send you a customisable certificate by email – to share, to give as a gift, as a token of humanity.

Simply select the option for a gift donation in the form. Once your donation has been received, we will send you the donation certificate with the desired design as a PDF by email. You can then print it out and give it as a gift.
For donations of up to €300, you do not need a donation receipt. To claim your donation for tax purposes, a bank statement together with our confirmation of donation for the tax office is sufficient.
For amounts of €300 or more, we automatically send you a donation receipt for one-off donations in the following month. For people who donate regularly, we send the donation receipts after the end of the year.

Your donation saves lives! Unfortunately, sea rescue remains the responsibility of civil society. We go where Europe seals itself off and looks away. Every Euro helps us protect lives.
Your donation goes directly into our work. Over 65% of donations are used for rescue operations. The rest is used for all other obligations in accordance with the association’s statutes (education and public relations work, administrative tasks, advertising, passing on funds & other expenses). In 2025, the German government cut all support for civil sea rescue from the budget. Thanks to your solidarity, we can continue, set sail, and save lives.
