2. Complete statutes and information on the objectives of our organization
Our goal is to rescue people fleeing from distress at sea and to support people in need who are fleeing. To achieve these goals,
- we operate a ship with which we conduct search and rescue operations in the Mediterranean,
- we train rescue workers and conduct training sessions to prepare crew members for deployment on board our ship,
- we carry out high-profile campaigns and actions as well as general press and public relations work to inform people about flight and migration as well as relevant human rights issues in this context, to call for action, and to advocate for the protection of human rights.

3. Information on tax benefits
Our association is recognized as a non-profit organization due to
- its promotion of aid for politically, racially, or religiously persecuted persons, for refugees, and displaced persons,
- its promotion of rescue from danger to life,
- its promotion of international understanding, tolerance in all fields, and the culture of international reconciliation, as well as
- its promotion of civic engagement
and, according to the exemption notice from the Regensburg Tax Office (tax number: 244/110/70502) dated December 9, 2025, is exempt from corporate income tax under Section 5 (1) No. 9 of the Corporate Income Tax Act (KStG) and from trade tax under Section 3 (1) No. 6 of the Trade Tax Act (GewStG).

6. Personnel structure
On land, a total of 30 people currently work full-time, part-time, or as marginal employees for Sea-Eye e.V. Some of them work in our office in Regensburg, while all others work remotely from their places of residence in Germany. In port and at sea, an international team of 10 people is currently working for Sea-Eye e.V.
Our current 40 employees work together in four different units:
- Administration
- Operations
- Impact & Engagement
- HR & Crewing
In addition, we have over 700 members who support our work.
