Osnabrück Saves Lives

As part of the “Safe Harbours” alliance, Osnabrück sent a clear message: We will not let anyone drown! Under the slogan “Osnabrück Saves Lives”, the city underscored that civil sea rescue in the Mediterranean is more important than ever.

Osnabrück reinforced this with substantial financial support for civil sea rescue and made €40,000 available for four years.

The fundraising campaign:

A fundraising campaign was launched, calling on all residents of Osnabrück and friends of the city to donate to the life-saving missions.
Die gesammelten Spenden wurden von der Stadt Osnabrück mit bis zu 20.000 € verdoppelt. Im Rahmen dessen übernahm die Stadt eine Schiffspatenschaft.
