Summer 2026 at Sea-Eye: festivals, party conferences and a new campaign

Sea-Eye is not only active at sea, but also on land. This summer, we will be attending festivals and party conferences and launching a new fundraising campaign.

Time for music and solidarity

Sea-Eye had a stand at both the Hurricane and Southside festivals. Volunteers from various Sea-Eye local groups provided information there about civilian sea rescue and human rights. Many artists such as Sondaschule, Bovij, Bosse and Betterov called for support and donations during autograph sessions or from the stage.

At Rock am Ring and Rock im Park, we were on site together with the Sea Punks. Many interested people visited our information stand, asked questions, donated or bought our merch. A special highlight: Mehnersmoos held a spontaneous autograph session, with plenty of humour and a request to their fans to donate to us.

We would like to thank our volunteers, the artists who stand up for human rights, and everyone who stopped by.

Taking our demands to party conferences

We were on site at “die Linke” Party conference to speak with delegates, politicians and visitors about the current situation in the Mediterranean. Following the abolition of state funding for civilian sea rescue and the introduction of the Common European Asylum System (CEAS), the rights of people seeking protection are at risk of being further eroded. This makes it all the more important to draw the attention of political decision-makers to the grievances at Europe’s external borders and to call on them to raise their voices for human rights, safe routes to refuge and solidarity.

As an official supporter of the Zusammenstehen alliance, we were also present in Erfurt. Together with the alliance, Sea-Eye takes a clear stand against inhumanity, racism and right-wing agitation. Our solidarity goes out to all those who demonstrate loudly, resolutely and peacefully for an open and democratic society.

“Anyone who denies people on the run the right to life is attacking the foundations of our democracy. Sea-Eye supports the Zusammenstehen alliance because we stand up for human rights – at sea and on land. Solidarity knows no borders.”

Anna Di Bardi, Chair of Sea-Eye e.V.
