Bochum Saves Lives

As part of the “Safe Harbours” alliance, Bochum had already set an example and sent a clear message: Nobody is left to drown!

Under the slogan “Bochum Saves Lives”, the city has emphasised that sea rescue in the Mediterranean is more important than ever.

The fundraising campaign:

A fundraising campaign was launched, calling on all residents of Bochum and friends of the city to donate to these life-saving operations.
The City of Bochum matched the donations collected, contributing up to €30,000. In July 2022, Bochum took on a ship sponsorship.
Of course, you can still make a donation, as every donation supports our rescue operations.
