We save lives.

We search for people in distress on the world’s deadliest migration route and fight to prevent death at sea.

Our actions are a response to the failed migration policy of the European Union, which refuses to take responsibility for the thousands of deaths in the Mediterranean.

More than 34,000 people have died or been reported missing while fleeing across the Mediterranean since 2014. This reality is a product of political decisions. Sea-Eye is fighting to prevent deaths at Europe’s external borders and rescues people in distress at sea. As long as there are no safe migration routes, civil sea rescue remains necessary.

The sea crew

There are often only a few minutes between hope and drowning.

For our rescue vessel SEA-EYE 5 with home port in Licata, Sicily, we are constantly looking for qualified and committed people who want to join our rotations and help people in distress at sea.

The land crew

Civil sea rescue does not begin at sea. On land, too, many people play a vital role in making rescue operations possible in the first place. On land, too, many people play a vital role in making rescue operations possible in the first place.

Sea-Eye’s land crew supports sea rescue from land. They organize rescue operations, raise awareness for the situation in the Mediterranean, and advocate for safe passage and the protection of human lives. We are always happy to welcome people who want to get involved and support the work of the land crew.

The support crew

People who take responsibility and support Sea-Eye's work in the long term.

For our operations, we depend on reliable, regular financial support. The support crew makes our work plannable, and every regular donation helps ensure that we can continue to save lives in the long term.
